I, Katushabe Ronald, also known as Justice Hunter, present to the people of Uganda a vision of leadership to build a nation founded on justice, liberty, and limited government.
I was born in 1994 in Kihumuro Village, Katikara Sub-County, Bugangaizi East County, Kakumiro District — Uganda, to poor parents. I understand the struggles of ordinary Ugandans who live with limited opportunities, poverty, and injustice. My father is a political prisoner, currently serving a 16-year prison sentence alongside four other politicians, awaiting appeal before the Supreme Court of Uganda. His story is not only my family’s pain but also a reflection of the injustice many Ugandans face every day. This has taught me that the fight for justice is not only personal but also national.
As a former High Court Assessor, lawyer, advocate, and justice activist, I have witnessed firsthand the pain of delayed justice, overcrowded prisons, and silenced cries of citizens denied their rights. I have been detained in police cells for demonstrating against the delay of justice; I have visited prisons, spoken with prisoners who wait years without trial, stood with families torn apart by corruption, represented the oppressed in courts of law, and fought against abuse of the justice system. These experiences have shaped my conviction that Uganda needs a government that is limited in power yet effective in service to its people.
This conviction has given birth to the foundation of the Five Pillars Campaign (FPC) — a mission to rebuild Uganda on principles that uphold the dignity of every citizen.
